Kirkwall Police Station Visit

Today we went to visit the Police Station. We met some of the Police Officers who told us about what they do in their jobs to help keep us all safe. We got to try on some of the Police uniforms and helmets. We saw some of the Police Officers equipment including a baton, handcuffs, and the big red key! We also had a watch of the CCTV screens that help the Police to keep Kirkwall safe.

We went along to the book in desk and then to see in one of the cells. Then we went outside to look at the police van, the siren was flashing and really noisy. We had a turn in the back with the doors shut and also in the front seats making the siren noise change.  We had a great time visiting the police station.  Thanks to the police officers for showing us around and to all the parent and adult helpers who came along with us again this week.
