MV Earl Sigurd Trip

Today we went a walk to visit Orkney Ferries as part of our learning about My Island Home  We saw some ducks and swans at the Peedie Sea, lots of boats at the harbour and then we went inside the Earl Sigurd. Some of us were trying on the bright Orange life jackets and some of us went into the bridge with the Captain. It was quite a big walk to the harbour and back to school again but we enjoyed being outside on our trip getting some fresh air and exercise. Thanks to all our Parent helpers, we couldn't have gone on the trip without you.
We very much appreciate your time and support.

Superworm

In class we have been learning about Julia Donaldson's 'Superworm' and his amazing superpowers.

On Friday, we investigated real worms and snails, observing them and writing up our findings.

Patterns are everywhere!

As part of our maths learning, we are examining pattern.  We have been exploring through the school, and pattern is everywhere!

We have experimented with making our own patterns; using maths materials and also designing 'Superworm' a new coat.
